Consumer Approval for the Ultimate in Bin Liners


American influence is behind the successful launch of the UK’s toughest bin liner.

Visqueen Ultimate, from bpi recycled products, is the result of an extensive research programme which identified the key qualities of strength, eye-catching packaging and the availability of a variety of sizes to fit most kitchen bins as key factors in the success of bin liners in the US market.

As a result, bpi recycled products commissioned an extensive market research programme to understand the needs, wants and buyer behaviour of UK consumers, which confirmed that there was a demand for bin liners that were of high quality, strong and tough. Price and size were also key influencers, with customers prepared to pay more for a quality bag that would fit their bins.

To meet these requirements, bpi recycled products has invested in a new multilayer manufacturing technology to produce the most advanced and toughest film from which Visqueen Ultimate is manufactured.

Confirmation of the new bin liner’s capabilities has come from the renowned online forum and website Mumsnet, which tested and reviewed the product with a very positive outcome. 96% of reviewers said they were very satisfied with the strength and quality of the brand and that they would purchase again if on sale at an acceptable price. This led to Visqueen Ultimate being awarded the coveted ‘Mumsnet Rated’ accolade.

Visqueen Ultimate has been sold exclusively on Amazon since 2016, supported by a multi-channel marketing approach including the Visqueen Ultimate YouTube channel and sponsorship of the waste management team at the Thame Food Festival.
